CVS-12-20-04 + ipw2200-0.19 + ipw2000-fw-2.2
My home AP is immediately discovered

With the CVS-12-15-04 version the entire dhcp transaction was about 36 lines. The 'error setting bitrate' is new. This may be a ipw2200-0.19 issue.

The wireless interface was properly configured but the panel icon is a computer and hovering reveals the message "Connected to an Ad-Hoc Wireless Network." But

iwconfig eth1
eth1 IEEE 802.11b ESSID:"mosswap"
         Mode:Managed Frequency:2.437GHz Access Point: 00:01:24:F0:40:5A
         Bit Rate=11Mb/s Tx-Power=20 dBm
         RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off
Encryption key:xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xx Security mode:restricted
         Power Management:off
Link Quality=100/100 Signal level=-50 dBm Noise level=-82 dBm
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
         Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:1

Also, when I click on the panel applet I new see

Other Wireless Networks ...
Create New Wireless Network ...

When I select either of these, I see the same dialog box so what is the distinction?
