Yes, there are airline requirements. Also, I would like to be able to
shut off NetworkManager (that is if you guys ever get the Atheros 5212
timeout thing sorted out) scanning at times. The airplane is obviously
one issue but there are other times that it would just be nice to be
able to disable NetworkManager.
