Re: Nautilus Search lacks feedback

Hi All,

Not sure if this has been mentioned in the past, but the search feature in Nautilus 3.12 doesn't report any feedback about the progress of the search.  The user can't tell when the search has finished.  The only feedback about it starting is when (and only if) matched files start appearing in the window.  It really needs a spinning wheel or something telling you that the search is ongoing and hasn't finished.  I've been searching large folders of PDFs and I can't tell if it's seen everything or is still looking through the nested folders.

Please do so adding a comment saying you see this bug, mentioning which version of nautilus you are using when you see this bug, along with the version of tracker package and the distribution name. Also, if possible, mention the file system type, and the folder where you started the search.

(It doesn't seem to happen everywhere. When I search in my home folder, using nautilus 3.12 or 3.14, I do see a spinner while the search is in progress: https://i.imgur.com/FylXDAL.png )
