"safely removal" action

Hello,

there is no "safely remove" action in my nautilus, so I had to stop my external HDD WD elements with hdparm -y, and it's not so cosy. What can I do with it? should I create nautilus-action with actions-config-tool, or it's possible to make HAL to create this action. I suspect "/usr/libexec/hal-storage-eject" can stop HDD, but it's only executable by hald.
