Sorry I forgot to actually commit these 2 patches back then, and right
now I am having troubles with my git+ssh account on git.gnome.org.

The patches still work. Could someone kindly commit them? Thanks.

PS: Just realized we're past the freeze. Anyhow, they might then go in
