I can only give a personal comment. I did not yet look at or test the
code, just watched the demo, and that looks great. Being
a huge fan of extensive undo/redo capabilities myself, I like the idea
of the patch a lot.

On the other hand, I'd really like a general purpose undo/redo manager
in GTK+ instead of every application having to roll their own. The
corresponding bug entry is
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=322194 but I don't know how
far away (or even wanted) such a feature in GTK+ would be.
