The home folder is special, though, even from a user's perspective. For
example, a user cannot delete or rename it.

The home folder is also the root of all of the user's stuff, and I have
to say I really prefer to be at the very top, where it's most easily
accessible.

Personally, I like the way those mockups are heading. That'd be a big
improvement of the sidebar. Also note how most of the mockups keep the
home folder link at the top..
