Hello, just another missing feature that will improve nautilus: mass rename!
It works in this way
- select a bunch of files
- hit F2 or rename
- give a name to the files
- the files will be renamed using the input you gave with a number
appended, starting from the first free position
example:
select 3 files, rename them to "test"
the 3 files will be called "test (1)", "test (2)", "test (3)"
select another 3 files and rename them to "test" again
the 3 files will be called "test (4)", "test (5)", "test (6)"
the "()" are useful to give the correct alphabetical order to files,
so that (2) is before (10)
Is someone already working on this?
Thank you!
