Hello all,
I'm emailing the nautilus list because I'm looking into putting
support for usb speed checking into the gnome-volume-manager the
developer of gvm has told me that nautilus may be taking in that
functionality and so I come here to see what advice you may have.
At the moment I have an fdi file which fills in a hal property when a
usb device is added which is plugged into a port slower than the
device supports. usb.slowed = true
I'm now thinking about using this property to either create a
libnotify event or add some other visual que (for say usb mounted
drives, using a 'slow' emblem) or some other way of informing the user
that the device may work slower or files may transfer slower.
Thoughts?
Best Regards, Martin Owens
