Lost desktop icons customization

Hi list.
I'm new here and I want to ask a question. Let me describe...

Yesterday I upgraded my Ubuntu Hardy (development branch) installation
and it brought Nautilus 2.21.6 with it.
With this upgrade I lost all my desktop icons customizations: icon
sizes, positions and custom icons.
I noticed, that I cannot customize the desktop icon anymore with
"properties" dialog.
Nautilus also shows wrong icons for folders and a few items like
gnome-terminal launcher - icons taken from the theme the main theme
inherits from.

The full description of the problem is on launchpad:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/185769

I just wanted to ask if this regression is Ubuntu specific or is it
upstream Nautilus problem?
