Hi, the single-click patch for GtkFileChooser's bookmark panel has been accepted (bug#148828). Therefore, it would be nice to have it in nautilus as well, for the sake of consistency. There is a patch available in bug#355760; it hasn't received the same attention as the GTK+ patch yet, but it works. The main issue with it is that right-clicking on an item to get the context menu activates it, which and can lead to e.g. mounting a device. Please tell me if you'd like to see it improved and how.
