Hi!,
I would like hacker's opinion on what steps are needed to fix bug

us commented that a "file_moved" event in nautilus monitor is needed
to preserve metadata and so fix the visual bug of icons changing
position in the desktop when they are saved in gedit...

It seems that inotify has support for "file move" events, that's good
news, but I don't know if gvfs, which nautilus is switching to, has
its own file monitoring api and if that api support "file moves", so
maybe we have to wait for the gvfs rewrite before trying to fix this
bug...
