keyboard navigation / why double enter in list view?

hello,

i like to control nautilus with keyboard as much as possible and every
day i come across one very inconveniet thing about quick navigation:

in list view, after typing first few letters of a file (to jump to
it's name), i have to hit enter twice to open it (or enter the
directory) --- while at the same time, in icon view it works on the
first hit

i'm using nautilus 2.14.3 on ubuntu dapper drake (tried on edgy and
there it seems everything is ok) --- is there any way how to turn on
this "single click" behaviour in stable dapper drake?
