I meant a spec with some 'basic' locations, i.e.
Desktop
Documents
Movies
Music
Images
Public --> public_html
defining names and path in file system, and providing translations.
Maybe a tool/library to modify-before-display and eventually to add new
locations (Templates in Nautilus, Downloads in Epiphany).
This is a spec :-)
Of course make ls(1) support it, could be a wet dream :->
