Greetings,
I'm curious as to why there are no Terminal shortcuts in Gnome 2.12.
First of all I better clarify this, the only instance of Gnome 2.12 I've
seen is the Ubuntu version, so apologies if this is an Ubuntu question.
If it isn't confined to Ubuntu, why have these shortcuts been removed?
Why does the way Nautilus behave keep changing (it is Spatial/it's not
spatial, Hidden files are shown with a menu shortcut/a keyboard
shortcut, back to a menu shortcut and back to menu's again)?
As a user, (who cheerfully admits to knowing nothing of the Gnome
development methods) it comes over as sloppy and as though someone or
ones can't make their mind up. If it's a good design (eg; Ctrl H for
"show hidden files") then leave it as it is. The terminal is a vital
integral part of Linux, why remove it from Gnome 2.12? (I know it can be
added back with the appropraite package - but this is less than
helpful).
If this is all Ubuntu designers changes then please tell me and I'll go
whine at them.
Just curious as to why is all...
Other than that, I've been using Gnome for over a year now and am mostly
extremely happy with it - such an elegant slick design!
regards
nux
