Does this work?
I have some perl scripts in my ~/.gnome2/nautilus-scripts folder (with
permissions set for executable) and I have no scripts menu showing up in
my right click menu in nautilus.
FWIW, when I double click on the scripts they are opened up in gedit, I
am not given the option to run them (even though this is what the
preferences are set for.)
