Hello, I'am a long time Mac user. I find Linux very cool but there are
many things I don't like. One of them is package installation, so I
decided to develop somthing. I don't know very much about Gnome
internals so I have some questions. I need only some startpoint and
ideas ho to implement the following thing.
I played a little bit around with klik.atekon.de, but I don't like the
cramfs's. So I decided to implement AppDir like MacOSX does. So I need
special mime handling. Nautilus should reconize a directory with a
*.sfapp extension as an application and extract informations about the
app out of the *.sfapp folder. In the xml file there are informations
about the icon, description of the bundle, location of the binary.
Some ideas?
