Gnome 2.0 Nautilus 2.2.1

Looking for some information on what Nautilus searches on startup??   I
have turned off Trash searching on NFS volumes,   but still am having a
problem with all the autofs mount being mounted when a user starts
Nautilus??

Example automount /u2/acct/xxx

Nautilus starts for any user, every sub folders is mounted under
/u2/acct, not just that users home??

Some insight on what Nautilus doing on startup please, or direction
where I could read?
