I need the icons back

Hi,

I use debian/testing. I've upgraded to 2.6 some days ago and nautilus
doesn't show icons since then, just generic icons everywhere. (Only
"Start here" has its icon on the desktop, I don't know why.)

I've read on the mailing list that this happens when nautilus can't
figure out what theme is in use. How can I find out what is missing
that nautilus needs? Theme pareference tool looks to be OK. I've tried
strace without too much success...
