smb:// in nautilus sends unencrypted passwords

Hi,

Is there a way to have nautilus send encrypted passwords? I am running
Debian sid with gnome 2.4. I have gnome, gnome-vfs-extras2 and smbclient.
Also a config file in /etc/samba/ with encrypted passwords = true

In the archives I can't find any reference to this. Is there a way to
remedy this?
