x-nautilus-desktop is not a valid location

When I start GNOME 2.5 (jhbuild from cvs, on Red Hat 9), I get an error
dialog that says
"x-nautilus-desktop:///" is not a valid location.
I think I've had this for a month or so, so I can't be the only one.
