Some users may want to have their own folders (for example "pictures",
"music", etc...) on the desktop, but not "home", "computer", "trash" and
mounted volumes. So, for them, setting "show_desktop" to false is not
equivalent to hiding "home", "computer" etc...

Another case is when people have lots of mounted volumes (in the case of
a web developer having a lot of server to work with, for example), but
don't want to have them on their desktop, but still want to hame the
"home", "trash" and "computer" icons. This is my case.
