While the object oriented model may be slightly easier for a new user to
grasp, does it really justified the addition code complexity and ui
complexity of having two interfaces? It will result in two different
ways of using a file manager which in turn leads to two sets of bugs.
Of all of the areas of nautilus that are buggy, in need of improvement,
or non-existant, is this the best use of hacker time/resources?
