I also have problems browsing shared files from a windows system, with
Nautilus-2.4 and nautilus 2.2. Got different errors with 2.4 and 2.2
when I try to use SMB:///. But, I could browse the shares with smbmount
and smbclient. I have filed two separate bugs in bugzilla.
