Oh - that sucks; I believe Gustavo xml-ized it and added it to the
documentation though. Then again I've never understood how the docs
built, and why that is in general rather flakey so ...

Great :-) I'm assuming that your lifecycle problem is related to the
nautilus bug until further evidence to the contrary. Also - you probably
want to make use of the new bonobo_control_life* API (bonobo-control.h)
in Gnome 2.2 - that helps making robust components much easier [ they
should tolerate sudden container death, and allow cleanup / component
shutdown ].
If you're on a roll with libbonoboui - you could add a nautilus
property-page to something that uses libgsf - such that we can render
some of the document summary information that litters Word/Excel/etc.
documents in a generic way :-)
