help - nautilus

hi

    I am getting input/output error. nautilus and
starthere are not working. Desktop icons are
missing.so many files from /usr/bin directory are not
seen. all missing files are giving input/output error.

 Gconf error: Object Activation Framework error
OAF problem Description: ?Failed to execute
oafd:5(input/outputerror)?
Nautilus can?t be used due to an unexpected error from
OAF when attempting to register the file manager view
server

can anyone give me some solution
