The fam backend treat uid/gui/mode changes as a file change. What is the
semantics of GNOME_VFS_MONITOR_EVENT_METADATA_CHANGED, and why was it
introduced? With this patch is seems pretty worthless, as it does exactly
what GNOME_VFS_MONITOR_EVENT_CHANGED does.
Maybe GNOME_VFS_MONITOR_EVENT_METADATA_CHANGED really was meant for when
real metadata was moved from nautilus to a generic implementation in
gnome-vfs.
