Throbber and Icon themes

I'm not really familiar with the icon theme spec (so forgive me if this
has already been worked out), but would it be possible to add a throbber
dir to the icon theme-spec (or alternatively namespaced for gnome only)
so that all gnome apps can share the same throbber. This would be real
nice.
