Sorry, I've been on vacation for a while. No, the patch hasn't been
approved or committed. Alex said that the patch wouldn't work because
it's possible for the user to select a file and then select some text in
the Notes panel, and you need the string in the Edit menu to tell you
what you have selected is a "File" and not a string.
In my opinion, having two things selected in the same window is a bug.
It should not be possible for the user to have a file/directory
highlighted and have text in the Notes window be highlighted at the same
time. I will file a bug on this.
