Refresh signal - or refresh via shell script

Is there a way to refresh a Nautilus window by sending a Nautilus (or
other) process a signal (via kill) or by running a secondary command to
force a window refresh, a la xscreensaver-command?

I'm working on a few Nautilus scripts and would like the window to
refresh after a task completion. Any suggestions are greatly
appreciated.
