Looks very good. Lets get this into eel. Then we'll also want to use the new
eel-pango-extensions.h function you added in places like the sidebar in
nautilus that don't use EelEllipsizingLabel.

You're not supposed to have a prorotype for self-check functions. Instead,
you add a line to the EEL_LIB_FOR_EACH_SELF_CHECK_FUNCTION macro in the
poorly-named eel-lib-self-check-functions.h file and it takes care of the
prototype. I think the way you did it, your function won't be called.
