In that case, the property emission stuff should be moved into the
settings daemon, so it will always be set when the background settings
are changed.
I have fixed all the other minor stuff in the patch, but I am still
confused about two things:
- nautilus is still setting the root window pixmap. This means the root
window gets set twice -- once by the settings daemon once it notices
nautilus's changes, and once by nautilus itself. Can we safely remove
this?
-- I am not sure the correct way to avoid gconf notifications. I am
fairly certain that bg_preferences_save will only generate one
notification, as that code uses a changeset. However, I am also fairly
certain that you can't just ignore the notification by some evil
"gboolean we_set_this", as that creates nasty race conditions. Havoc,
what do you think?
