Yeah, I've been looking for something like this too. Unfortunately to
not have the disk icons appear and to be able to rename the home
directory I had to change / comment some code.
Mind you, I wouldn't have a problem with the disk icons appearing if
they were snapped to a grid which the rest of the icons were using too.
Unfortunately this doesn't help though.
