I can reproduce this behaviour here (nautilus 2.0.3).

Well, this machine here has 1GB of memory + 1GB of swap. So buying more
memory won't help. And since everyone simply wants nautilus it needs to
be running and thus started with respawning...

Looks like nautilus does not like to be swapped out ...
