This is the general idea. Icons for mime types need to be themable for all
apps not just nautilus. A folder in evolution should use the same icon as the
one used in nautilus etc. This is important for both usability and
accessibility. I think some of the hackers are working on this, and it has
been discussed on various mailing lists lately. So give it some time i expect
that in the gnome 2.2 to 2.4 time scale, icon theming will be moved out of
nautilus into a more general framework.
