Useful, but still, I think, counterintuitive. Especially because if
Joe User's using ~/ as the desktop, he probably doesn't think of it
as "Joe's Home", he thinks of it as "Joe's Desktop". And it's also a
bit weird for things to contain themselves. Maybe something like a
right-click menu item called "View Desktop in Window"? (That would be
even more useful 'cause you wouldn't have to find the icon, just a
free pixel of desktop space.)
