Are there still any plans for a "shelf" sidebar, that would serve as a
temporary drag destination? Although I'm an ex-windows user, I'm coming
to appreciate just using drag and drop instead of cut and paste for file
management. A shelf sidebar would be helpful in general file
management. What may be a nice feature would be if cut or copied files
appeared in the shelf sidebar, so the problem of cut files being in some
kind of limbo doesn't exist. Hopefully this is a helpful suggestion.
