[Nautilus-list] Memory consumption under Sol8?

I've got a bit of a strange memory consumption problem with Nautilus on a
Ultra 60 (2 x 360mhz, 2gb) running Solaris 8 and the Gnome 1.4 package from
Sun. 

If I launch Nautilus, the nautilus_2 process will use up all 1.5Gb avail
ram, and then use all 2gb of available swap and the interface will never
come up. The only thing I can do is kill -9 the nautilus_2 process to free
up the memory. 

I've been able to duplicate this behavior with two seperate users on the
same system. 

Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas?
