Another potentially useful feature would be the option:

  Display:
    [ ] Show hidden files
         [ ] But, keep them hidden in Home directory

I prefer to see hidden files (.cvsignore is particularly 
useful), but having to scroll through half of my home 
directory before I see anything useful is a pain.  Or, 
maybea toolbar button to toggle whether or not hidden 
files are shown would also be useful?
