Wow - we had the exact opposite impression, that it was way too slow
on large directories.

Yes, this is a known bug ( http://bugzilla.eazel.com/show_bug.cgi?id=3936 )

As Seth mentioned, please file a bug at bugzilla.eazel.com (we
reccomend using bugzilla helper).

This is a known problem that we don't currently plan to fix for 1.0 (I
can't find a bug number for it off hand, so feel free to file a bug).

This is not a known bug, as far as I know. Could you please provide us
with such a URL we can use to test and file a bug?

Thanks. We love user feedback, and while the positive feedback is
sometimes more enjoyable, pointing out problems is extremly useful.
