Hassan,
I actually prefer it to be transparent. For people who don't use
backgrounds at all, in my opinion, transparent backgrounds of the text look
the best. My thinking is that this should be a configurable option for
Intermediate and above user levels.
On the Novice user level, I believe that it's up in the air. Both
transparent backgrounds of text and non-transparent backgrounds of text
have their pros and cons.
