Actually the files that I've has to edit with the pre-compiled static
binary are
/eazel-preview-1/share/mime-info/application-registry-hack.keys
/eazel-preview-1/share/mime-info/gnome-vfs.keys
/eazel-preview-1/share/mime-info/gnome-vfs.mime
The files in /usr/share didn't work for me.
FYI for the original poster, you need to be root to edit these.
