Muine is easily the best music player i've ever used, but I think Mono
is hurting it. It's not like this can be changed with a patch, but I
think it's a problem. There's nothing at all wrong with the player
itself, but the dependency hell is killing the potential user base. On
almost every distro I've tried it has had major problems with
installation and stability (usually seems due to the available mono
packages for said distro).
I don't really know enough about coding or the benefits of Mono. I know
that once it *is* running, it runs beautifully. I also know there must
be perfectly valid reasons for using Mono, and I would be genuinely
interested in hearing them.
Just my two cents, and I know it isn't going to change any time soon.
Thanks for all the time you've put into making it such a classy piece of
software. =)
