Hey Everyone,
First off I'd like to say what an excellent project Muine is, I'm really
into it -- its the probably the most simple yet functional new UI I've
seen in a long while.
A main feature for me is the notification tray icon, which means that I
can remove the window from the desktop pretty much permanently, as I
mostly just cue up a new album when I need it.
In order to make the notification icon even more useful to me, I've
hacked around a bit and added a couple of things:
1) Scrolling over the icon changes the volume (the only feature that I
really miss from xmms)
2) Pressing the back and forward mouse buttons (aka scrolling sideways)
skips back and forward
3) double right-clicking opens the add new album dialog
Thus now enabling me to do almost everything i want to do in day to day
life with very few clicks (sort of the mouse equivalent of my multimedia
buttons)
Before I submit a patch though, I thought I should enquire as to what
peoples thoughts were regarding which clicks/scrolls should do what. I
know Jorn has a position on the single left click (although I haven't
been able to find the original mail).
Let me know what you think,
Thanks once again for a great player,
Tom
