Re: [Muine] Groups and the main UI

Well, I have sort of a radical idea for taking care of groups and albums. I hope
no one takes offense to this, I love the current UI and everything, this is
just an idea I had... take it for what it's worth ;)

Instead of the "Add Songs" and "Add Albums" buttons in the main UI, there would
just be an "Add Music" button. Clicking on this button would launch a new
window, just as it does now. However, in this new window you have 3 different
shortcuts on the right (a la evolution's shortcut bar, for example), those
shortcuts being "Songs", "Albums", and "Groups," probably with "Songs" being
selected by default (or whatever the user selected last, maybe).

That way, you can pretty much access whatever you need to, and there's plenty of
room to add more stuff later on (internet radio, for example). Of course, it
doesn't have to be an outlook sidebar, maybe there's some better way of
selecting between "Groups," "Albums," and "Songs." As for a shuffle mode, I
don't see any dilemna in just adding checkboxes to the bottom. *Shrug*

If this sounds at all interesting (or if I've completely failed to visualize),
I'd be happy to do a mockup of what I'm talking about.

That's my suggestion tho, hope it's helpful somehow ;)

Cheers
