Contributions
Becoming a Foundation member requires the applicant to have made a non-trivial amount of contributions to any of the GNOME Project contribution categories including code, translations, advocacy, infrastructure, outreach and documentation. Processing will be much quicker if you provide links. Please tell us whether you were an existing Foundation member or have done something relevant for the GNOME Foundation in the past.
- Translations: I try to both provide translation, and keep in touch with the developers of several apps to notify the translation teams when a release is coming. It may be hard to provide a link, but @afranke can confirm I do some work there :)
- Newcomers: I'm trying to help improving @bilelmoussaoui's GTK Rust app template when I stumble upon minor issues
- Newcomers: I also like to create mini tutorials on Mastodon to help users getting starting with applications creation. This thread is a good example
- Applications: it still is in the making, but I'm working on Parcel, a parcel tracking app (from an idea found in Tobias Bernard's App Ideas repository)
- Minor contributions: I open issues here and there, as detailed as I can when I'm facing a bug, and open merge requests when I know how to fix it
