Contributions Summary:
Hello, I am Daniel Șerbănescu and I would like to become a member of Gnome Foundation.
I have been contributing translations to Gnome since 2010 and recently I became team coordinator for the
Romanian team. I have a few gitlab commits shown at [1] but I mostly use the Damned Lies interface nowadays,
so the Romanian translations that come from the translation bot are triggered by me [2].
On the other hand I am subscribed to gnome-i18n list where I post ocasioanally [3]. My Damned Lies Account is
here [5].
I had also gone through some efforts to sponsor gnome translations last year [6], but was not that successful
so far.
During my time contributing I became Comitter and I helped as Mentor withing Google Code-In 2010 and 2011
contest, where one of the translation tasks looked like [4]. I am very proud to have had 3 students among the
finalists of Google Code-In.
I hope my activities are useful for the Gnome communities and romanian speaking users.
Note about the chosen username:
dasj19
* da - comes from „Daniel”
* sj - comes from my surname, „Șerbănescu”, „sj” beeing the phonetical pronunciation of letter „ș”
* 19 - uniquely identifies me on the Internet, as there are some others using plain „dasj”.

Unfortunatelly I do not have many references, however I met Bastian Ilsø at FOSDEM 18 and FOSDEM 19, and I am
planning to attend GUADEC 19 for the first time this year.
