It would help us to process your membership application if you could tell us a
bit more about any recent contributions that you have made to GNOME, in your
case that could be some examples of places where you have been talking about
GNOME, and possibly some current foundation members who could support your
application. Once you have provided this we'll get back to you as soon as we
can.

process is publicly available in our mail-list archives.
