Re: [ #15803] GNOME Membership Application of Julian Sparber

Hi Kunaal, sorry for my late response too! Julian helped with the 20th birthday website and seems interested
in contributing to Engagement-related projects in the future, so I vouch for him too.

Please let me know if you have any more questions, and thanks!

Dear Carlos and Nuritzi,

The GNOME Membership Committee is about to process Julian Sparber's
application to become a GNOME Foundation Member and therefore need some
feedback about the applicant and their work on GNOME, both past and present.

Remember that vouching for a contributor means you really think the applicant
is committed to GNOME and will carry on contributing in the future, and that

This I don't have any doubts, he seems active around the various
communication channels, so there's definitely enthusiasm.

you trust the applicant and their work. If unsure about vouching or not, please
let us know why you don't feel comfortable enough in advocating this applicant.

I'll admit I left this email boil for a while. I did encourage Julian
to get a git account as he had around a bunch of patches to gtk+
already, but those didn't seem enough to actually evaluate the
"commitment" it takes a foundation membership.

However, since then I've been seeing more and more patches and work
from him, so I will vouch for him. He's a recent contributor, but
there is quite some potential.

For further details about the applicant, feel free to have a look at the
their application at the following link:
