Contributions Summary:
I started using GNOME with Ubuntu 10.4 Lucid Lynx. Soon I learnt about gnome-shell and, following the
instruction on the Wiki, I set up jhbuild and became a gnome-shell user even before GNOME 3.0 was released. I
joined IRC with alias "antoniof" which I still use today. And that's how I got into the community and slowly
started contributing.
I define myself as a mainly a bug triager, but I'm also interested in design. Also I can make simple patches.
I'm mostly interested in nautilus, having followed it's development closely.
Although I was very active for more than two years around 2014, I didn't apply for membership because I
wasn't aware I met the membership criteria. Then I went almost 2 years without significant contributions, but
now I am active again and csoriano pointed me into this application form.
# Bug reporting, triage and fixing:
41 bugs reported
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/buglist.cgi?email1=AntonioJPFernandes%40gmail.com&emailreporter1=1&emailtype1=substring&list_id=240628&query_format=advanced
Around the start of 2013, after I hunted for duplicate bugs, muelli (Tobias Mueller) talked to me on IRC and
gave me permissions to edit bug on bugzilla a Bugsquad member.
I've triaged many bugs, mostly nautilus bugs, between 2013 and 2015. (I can't find a way to query bugzilla
for bugs closed by me.) Then I was mostly inactive for two years. Now I came back into bug triage. This week
I achieved top 3 bug closer. List of bug I closed the last 7 days

I've contributed patches for 14 bugs and got most accepted and commited, half of them recently:

# Design contributions
I'm also interested in design and helped shape the current design of GtkPlacesSidebar. It all started with
this playground page: https://wiki.gnome.org/Design/Playground/PlacesSidebar and evolved into this
Whiteboard: https://wiki.gnome.org/Design/Whiteboards/NautilusSidebar. Most discussion happened over IRC, but
Allan Day was awesome and credited me on his blog
https://blogs.gnome.org/aday/2013/12/11/nautilus-next/#places
I kept following that feature and drew a mockup for an "Other Places" view, a replacement for the "Add Drive"
dialog concept. Allan liked the idea, added his own tweaks and it became the "Other Locations" view we know
today. I can't find now where I've posted that mockup, unfortunately.
# Informal community engagement
I've been active on Google+ helping fellow users, and explaining design changes using my
I was never a foundation member because I didn't find it important to apply even when I was active
